First Mother's Day (Weekend)

What a nice, normal week it has been. Sebastien is becoming more and more fonder of books and now has his favorites. At the moment, "Night's Nice" is his favorite, followed by "Grandma & Me" and "I am a Bunny." Here's a picture of Dan reading the Grandma book.

Dan took this picture when Kim was not aware. Sebastien and Kim were picking out some books for the night. Gwynnie, of course, is never more than an arm's length away.
Below: Too much reading.
Below: Sebastien learned how to tip the little toy bin over and stick his head inside it.
Below: Look at his pretty dark blue eyes (with brown in the middle). Apparently that comes from the Walsh side of the family.

We went to North Hampton beach in NH for Mother's Day. It was a beautiful day. Sebastien enjoyed his first time at the beach. Kim had to keep him from eating sand.

What a great Mother's Day!

Grammy Patty Visits!

Grammy Patty came to stay with us last week. Day Care was closed for Spring Break and Grammy came to help watch Sebastien. We had a really nice week.

Not sure I'm ready for this....the helmet.

Sebastien got his helmet today to correct his mishapen and flat head. He starts off slowly and will wear it more hours each day. By next week he should be wearing it 23 hours a day. This will go on for about 2 months. Sebastien doesn't seem to mind it much except when he lays down it pushes one ear forward and he cries. We'll need to get that fixed on Monday morning back at the helmet doctor before he can wear it while sleeping. So here are some pics.

Here are some recent pictures.

Below: these frogs are sure loud at night! It sounds like a frog orchestra in the pond behind out house. We have to close the windows at night in order to hear the TV!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had a very nice first Easter with Sebastien. We started off by going to the 8AM Mass in Pelham and were surprised at how many little kids were there that early! Sebastien was tired though by the end and came home and took a 2 hour nap, which is not his normal style. Later, my cousin Tony Lapinski drove in from Springfield, MA, which is where he just moved from CA. Soon his wife Ana and their twins (who are 10 days younger than Sebastien) will be joining him. I'm excited to have some of my family so close! We then went to Grandma & Grandpa Masse's in Dracut for a lovely ham Easter dinner.
Below: Gwynnie is thrilled to be in a bunny outfit. Can't you tell? (Don't worry, it was basically just for pictures.)
Below: Dan & I: married 4 years this week!

Below: Look at my tooth!
(It's directly under the tip of his nose. It's not the white reflection to the left of that.)

(Pre) Easter Pictures & Sebastien's announcement!

Yesterday I took Sebastien to the mall to get some Easter pictures taken. Dan was working and we surprised him with the pictures when he got home. Here are the pictures. I didn't buy the digital pictures this time, I just bought a few pictures and scanned them in, so they are a little grainy. Sebastien has been able to sit up unattended for about 5 days, so it was just in time. Although once during the photo shoot he fell forward and bumped his nose and was not happy about it.
Below: Yes, this is a live bunny! There were other cute shots of Sebastien holding the bunny and lying next to the bunny, etc but I couldn't buy them all!
Below: pretty boy, 6.5 months
Below: This time he was old enough to play with the blocks

So I then thought to myself "How hard can it be to take pictures like these at home?" But as you can see below, it's a lot harder than it looks. These turned out ok.
Below: Sebastien was getting grumpy at this point. Keep reading to find out why.

Below: Sebastien marvels at the giant Egg and his Easter basket from Grammy Patty.

OK SO TIME FOR SEBASTIEN'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
HE HAS A TOOTH!
It started poking through yesterday and he was very grumpy until I gave him some Tylenol. We can see and feel 3 distinct points coming up through his lower gums. I am not sure why mommy and daddy are so excited about this, but we are! If I can ever get him to hold his tongue up and open his mouth enough to take a picture, I will!
