...And for the "ah-goo" bear. When you press his paw, you get a message from Grammy Patty. Sebastien loved it and smiled when he heard it. Gwynnie, however, is scared of it.

Becca got Sebastien a sled and dragged him around in it. He didn't seem to mind it too much. I'm sure it will be a hit next year though.

Home again, home again, jiggity-jig

We survived yet another storm on Sunday. This time it was a snowstorm though and not an ice storm. Snow is now mid-thigh deep. Despite the weather, Dan has been successful in getting our new-to-us hottub running. He still has a few kinks to work out but it's ready to use - we just haven't gotten a chance yet. I'm hoping to be sitting in it this weekend sipping margaritas! Here are a couple pictures from the last couple days. And since I probably won't post again before, have a Merry Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....a view of our backyard (and pond).
Look at the big boy holding his head and neck up!

Sebastien's first encounter with Santa. Becca went with me to the mall and we both thought it was amusing that the lady taking the Santa photos 1. thought Sebastien was about 6 months old (he's only 3 months!) and 2. asked Becca if she was the "second mother." Haha, I guess Becca and I make a good couple, even though she's 11 years younger :)

9 days at Grandma & Grandpa's house

After 9 days without power, we're finally back at home. Our power came back Saturday afternoon. Here are some pics from the 9 days we stayed at Grandma & Grandpa Masse's in Dracut. Thank goodness we had somewhere warm and loving to stay! Gwynnie and Sebastien are missing all the action now back at our quiet house.

Big smiles!

He loves to stick out his tongue...especially when you do it to him first.

No power for a week!

It's been a week now and we stil have no power. If you didn't know, it's because of the massive ice storm that hit NH last Thursday night. The power company said 95% of our town should have it back by tonight. I'm skeptical. We've been living with Dan's parents for a week, which we're very grateful to have. All our neighbors are still bunkered down in their semi-cold houses using generators but they still don't have any water. I've been able to keep working from their house, so thats good. Sebastien's daycare got power back on Tuesday so he's been going there during the day. Right now our house is at 35 degrees inside so we're starting to worry about pipes freezing. Dan said he's going to buy a propane heater to see if he can get the house temperature up. I actually haven't minded being at Dan's parents for a week....there's always so much activity between them and Becca and Phil (and Dan's aunt who was staying with them too for a while), but the person who loves it the most is Gwynnie. She's been in heaven with so many people around. I bet she wishes we could live with them all the time. I'll have to post some pictures later since the cords I need to do so are at our house.

VIDEO: baby in chair (plus hottub footage)

Here's another video shot on Saturday afternoon. Don't forget to also check out the new post below...

Yes, we took our baby to a bar

Luke and Sebastien had a mini play-date on Saturday at Luke's house after we went to see Luke in his acting debut as "baby Jesus" on the K of C float in the Manchester Christmas parade.

Sebastien is a little too small for this but thanks to a big book, he can sort of use it.

Just like that movie "Sweet Home Alabama" where Reece Witherspoon says disapprovingly to her white trash friend "Oh, you have a baby....in a bar..." we became those people this weekend. Although to our defense, it was a 30th birthday party and there was a rented out room and there were 2 other babies there. So not as bad as it sounds. Here is a picture with me and the birthday girl.

Probably our first and last family picure in a bar...at least for maybe 21 years.

First Video Post

My first attempt at video posting.
Video shot Thurs evening 12/4. Sebastien is almost 3 months old. You can see how he's begun to use his hands! He didn't make many noises here but he tends to have "noisy" time in the morning.

Thanksgiving Weekend

On Sunday, we chopped a Christmas tree. Sebastien, however, slept through his first tree hunting experience.

Sebastien has begun to find his hands. He's been grasping at things a lot more and even has a few toys that he holds onto. His "goo" sounds are also getting louder and louder.

Here is the extended Masse family at Thanksgiving.

Gwynnie protects Sebastien while he sits in his Bumpo seat. He's recently mastered being able to sit in this chair and hold his head up. This baby sure has some chin roles!

Busy weekend...but managed to snap some photos.

Here are some pics from last week. We had a hectic weekend because Dan was a groomsman in our friends wedding. Somehow we managed to get decent sleep after some late nights out.
Dan & Sebastien watch some Sunday morning TV.

Sebastien looks unsure of the camera I'm pointing at him.

Trying to get him to look at the camera....and yes, if you can't tell I'd been up since about 5am here.

Future best buddies and troublemakers. It's already starting.

Back to Work for Kim

So I had to go back to work this week...bummer. Sebastien has been doing well at daycare- or so they say. They keep saying he's such a good baby. The only problem is that the toddlers are having a hard time saying his name. One of them calls him "Babastian" and one of them calls him something that sounds like "Pass the basin." There is only one other infant there and he is 2 months older than Sebastien. I'm sure someday they'll be friends. Sebastien even has him for the Christmas gift exchange- haha. On Monday night, Dan & I decided to try taking Sebastien to a movie and surprisingly it worked out great. We saw the new James Bond movie and despite the film's loud noises, Sebastien just sat on my lap and watched about half the movie (with very wide eyes) until he fell asleep. Here are some of the latest pics:

Baptism and Football Weekend with the Szakaly's

Starting on Thursday, Grandpa Marty & Grandma Patty came to visit us in NH. This was the first time Grandpa Marty saw Sebastien. On Friday, we went to tour Jewell Towne Vineyard, which is one of two in NH. Here are some pictures from Thursday and Friday.

Grandma Patty holds Sebastien while Dan tries some wine.

Vats of wine. MMmmmm.

My mom took a picture of me in my normal state these days: with Sebastien AND Gwynnie on my lap. The 3 of us spend quite a lot of our time this way.

Dad & I holding our noses because of the "stink" of BC in their stadium. Too bad Notre Dame didn't do so good that night.

Sunday was baptism day! Sebastien's outfit was very cute, however all I'd have to do is glue a few rhinestones on it and it could have been an Elvis costume.

Becca Masse is Sebastien's godmother and Grandpa Marty stood in for Brian Szakaly as godfather.
