Our Computer is Back!

Sorry we haven't posted in a while. I try to post once a week to share some love with my out-of-town family and friends, but our computer's hard drive died. It's all better now so the blogging continues. It's been pretty hot here the past couple weeks. Staying sane with 2 kids under 2 and no AC can be challenging but we're seemingly managing ok most days. Our pool is now open but I have just been having Sebastien play in the kiddie pool during the day since it takes the fear of him drowning off the table. He loves bringing his boats, trucks, my watering can, and really anything else he can get his hands on into the kiddie pool with him. Genevieve is finally over a stomach bug that caused her to not drink very much the last couple weeks so I can finally breath a sigh of relief now that she's eating normally again.
Below: Sebastien and Genevieve made handprint pictures for Father's Day using finger paints. It sure was messy! Here's Sebastien hard at work:

Genevieve is doing really well holding her head up now, especially if she has something or someone to look at... like her big brother.

We went to the O'Donnell's lakehouse in Maine last weekend. Here's a picture of Landon playing with Genevieve.

Professional Pictures of Our Family

We had some professional pictures taken at the mall this morning. Sebastien loved being the star of the camera and followed the photographer's every direction. He has all the makings of a future male model - haha. Genevieve was alert but not as smiley as she could have been. The pictures still turned out pretty good I think. Here are the 15 that we paid for:

Weekend in Maine

This past weekend we went to our friends lake house in Maine. Rick and Nicki have 2 boys close in age to ours so it was a fun little troop. Below is Genevieve chilling in the boppy pillow while Kim and Dan pack up the stuff to go.

We went on a boat ride soon after arriving there. Go figure that as soon as we get out on the lake it starts raining. Luckily it didn't last too long and we were back in sunshine in no time. Genevieve did NOT like wearing a life vest.

Below: Luke hugs Sebastien while Sebastien tries to drive the boat.

Hot Memorial Day week

It was very hot last week, which made for a bit of trouble for those of us without air conditioning. We made it through though. One nice thing about hot weather is that Genevieve gets to wear pretty sundresses and even Sebastien gets to wear his pjs that are t-shirts and shorts sets, which he seems to only be able to wear a few weeks out of the year. Here are some pics from last week:

Below: Saturday morning, Kim looked out the window to see a big mamma snapping turtle laying her eggs. After laying them, she buried them with her tail and then had some trouble finding her way out of the mulch bed. We didn't see her leave the mulch bed though and assumed she made her way back to the pond. Boy did we get a surprise when we opened our front door to go outside. She was right there! She then decided to play with Sebastien's cozy coupe car (see pic below), took another rest in a different mulch bed and then finally made her way back to the pond. We cant wait to see the little turtles hatch!

On Memorial Day, we took the family and some friends and headed to the beach in Beverly, MA. Here are some pictures from that. It cooled off by the time we got there so little Genevieve enjoyed her first trip to the beach wearing a sweater and pants. Sebastien was happy to be able to wear his "Cars" swim trunks.
