Raincoats

The best thing about 3 rainy days in a row is that there are plenty of opportunities for them to wear their raincoats. They love them!

Father's Day Hike

Below: The kids milk-ing up before our hike.

Moeckel Pond is behind us in these last two pictures. Of course the pond is no longer a pond since the dam was drained, but we're working to get that fixed. When Sebastien saw the stream, he explained, "Holy Moly River!"

Summertime and snuggles

I put Genevieve on the couch next to Sebastien the other morning while he watched cartoons and the two instantly snuggled up. I love them at this age!

Although it's cooled down lately, a week or so ago, it was nice and hot and perfect for the Dracut park splash pad. Like last year, Sebastien is still not too sure of getting wet but Genevieve is a pretty big fan. Below is a picture of the two of them waiting for the water to come on.

Below: Our neighbor gave us a jogging stroller and whoa, what a difference from our clunky big double stroller! Maybe this is my motivation to get back into jogging (or excercise of any shape or form). Below: Summertime = Ice cream truck. Luckily Sebastien just thinks it's the "music" truck.

French Lick

It's so sad to be posting this post because that means our trip to French Lick, Indiana is officially and completely over. Boo! We had such a nice time (but with plenty of stressful toddler-induced moments that are inevitable when traveling with small children) and it was awesome to see so much of my family in one setting. My dad did a great job with all of his speeches and presidential (Indiana Dental Association) duties too. I was so proud. The kids did pretty well handling no naps the first day, going to bed 3 hours late each night, and being around so many people all the time. Sebastien was obsessed with Grammy Patty and Papa and wanted to be where they were at all times. I can't post all the pictures (see Facebook if interested) but here are some snippets of our trip.

Below: The next day we rode surreys (bikes for multiple people) to the sister hotel. This is the atrium! Sooo big! Notice how small the kids look.

Below: I jumped off to take this picture of us on the surrey.

That night we saw Heywood Banks, a comedian who sings funny songs. We were front row center and it was soooo funny. The next morning (below) we went with Grammy Patty on a train ride robbery.

Below: After the "robbers" took over the train, we got off and looked at the horses. Genevieve was not afraid of them at all. Sebastien, on the other hand, was clinging to Grammy Patty.

We managed to squeeze in lots more stuff into these few days and we saw almost all of my aunts and uncles, a few cousins, and a few family friends. It was a lot of work with the kids, but it was so great. Thanks Dad and Mom for organizing it all!

Prepping for summer

Last week we took the kids for their first ice creams of the season. We LOVE our local ice cream place called Peach Tree Farm. It's next to a golf course, so very scenic, but it also has a petting zoo, which the kids love.

Below: Here's Dan and Sebastien looking at the sheep and goats.
