Sadly our York beach vacation came to an end last weekend. It's depressing to think that an entire year will go by before we get to go there again. I remember wondering last year at the beach when Genevieve was 5 months old what she'd be like this year as a toddling, babbling 17 month old. (She was wonderfully entertaining, by the way.) Now I can't help wondering what she'll be like as a 2.5 year old next year, and Sebastien as a 4 year old. We did some fun things at the end of our York trip. We went kayaking one day in the harbor. We explored York's Wild Animal Kingdom, which was a much better zoo than we anticipated. The howler monkeys and butterfly room were fantastic. We also attempted to tour some of the old buildings in historic York. The kids haven't quite mastered staying quiet while the tour guide speaks, so we had to cut those a little short, but it was stil interesting to see.
