Today marks the 2nd week of Sebastien's life. He's definitely bigger, although I don't know by how much because we don't go to the doctor until Thursday. He's still mostly eating, pooping, and occasionally sleeping. Some nights he barely sleeps and other nights he'll sleep 5 hours in a row, so it's hard to see a pattern. Sure keeps me on my toes (and on emotional highs and lows depending on my sleep the night before). Here are some pics from this week.

Home with Baby!
So now we're home with the baby (as of Fri) and it's been 5 days of no sleep :(
Sebastien was down to 7lbs15oz when we brought him home so he really needed to gain some weight. Luckily he did just that and as of yesterday (Mon), he was back up to 8lbs4oz so he's doing well. However, that means that all he does is eat and rarely sleep. So that means Mommy and Daddy are very tired. Grandma Patty is here for 2 weeks to help out though. Here are some pictures:

Hospital with Baby!
Sebastien Martin Masse was born on Tues Sept 16, 2008. He was 6 days late. He wighed 8lbs12ox and was 20.5 in long. Birth story: My contractions started Mon evening and went all through the night. When I arrived at the hospital on Tues morning at 10AM, I was already 7 cm dialated! They admitted me but I wasn't sure yet if I wanted an epidural because I (with Dan's major help) was breathing ok through the contractions. They did give me some Stadol which they said would "take the edge" off, but it didn't. It just helped to calm me a bit in between contractions. Anyway, before I knew it, I was 10 cm and ready to push so no epidural! Sebastien was out in about 3o min and Dan & I couldn't have been happier. It was an amazing, dificult, but awesome experience (not to sound cliche). Here are some pics from the hospital:

First Blog - Bun is still in the Oven
I'm starting this blog on my due date of Sept 10th, 2008. Soon this blog should be full of cute, cuddly baby pictures. For now, I'll make due with a picture of Dan & I with Gwynnie (our dog) last fall when she was only a couple months old. She's still small and just as cute...but still a little pain in the butt. Oh yeah, as far as my having-the-baby progress, I'm 1 cm dialated. Not sure really if that means I'll go tomorrow or next week! Oh, I suppose I should include the latest preggo picture. Me at 39.5 weeks (just a couple days ago).
