Poor little Gwynnie

Last week Gwynnie started squealing and holding one of her legs up. This continued until Saturday morning, so I took her to the ER vet. The ER vet said she has a kneecap that is popping out of place. Dan & I took her to her regular vet this morning because it's been happening more and more and Gwynnie hasn't been herself. She hasn't been eating much and has been spending a lot of time in her crate. Also any time she starts to play, it pops off and she cries and hides. So the vet determined that she's gained about 1 lb since she was last in and we need to get that extra lb off and see if that helps. So Gwyn will be switching to "light" dogfood. Once she's lost a lb, if it's not any better, we may need to have surgery and then do physical therapy. Oi!

Memorial Day Weekend at the Lake

We made our first trip to Lake Winnipesaukee with Sebastien over this Memorial Day weekend. It was such a nice trip. Sebastien had fun and definitely has a friend in Ethan Jussaume who is a couple months shy of 2 yrs. Below, Sebastien and Ethan are getting acquainted.

Baby Scootin'

Sebastien is enjoying the warmer weather now in New Hampshire. Unfortunately this means that the black flies are out and they've already learned to enter the tiny airholes on the back of his helmet and bite him. It's happened twice already! Poor guy. Sebastien has also started "military crawling," which means he's crawling but with his belly still on the floor. His favorite things to crawl toward are Gwynnie's toys. She is doing a good job sharing.

We're heading up to Lake Winnipesaukee for the long weekend. We haven't been there since last July! We're very excited and I'm sure some lake pictures will follow.

First Mother's Day (Weekend)

What a nice, normal week it has been. Sebastien is becoming more and more fonder of books and now has his favorites. At the moment, "Night's Nice" is his favorite, followed by "Grandma & Me" and "I am a Bunny." Here's a picture of Dan reading the Grandma book.

Dan took this picture when Kim was not aware. Sebastien and Kim were picking out some books for the night. Gwynnie, of course, is never more than an arm's length away.

We went to North Hampton beach in NH for Mother's Day. It was a beautiful day. Sebastien enjoyed his first time at the beach. Kim had to keep him from eating sand.
