Forget the sun and sand...the beach means cars and trucks!

We went to Hampton Beach on Wednesday to the Children's Festival, but instead of hanging out in the sun and sand, the boys were way more interested in all things car or truck. Here's a picture of Sebastien and Luke on the playground. Sebastien was very content to sit in this firetruck and watch the real cars and trucks drive by on the street.
The arcade was also a big hit with Sebastien, Luke, and George since they all wanted to climb in the cars, trucks, planes, trains, etc. Sebastien did not like it though when I would put a quarter in them to make them move. He apparently prefers to be stationary.

VIDEO: Genevieve in the ExerSaucer

Here's a video of Genevieve at 5 months having fun in the exersaucer.
As you can see, she's entering the "everything-in-my-mouth" phase.

Family Trip to Boston Children's Museum

We used our museum pass Sunday to take a (free!) trip down to the Boston Children's Museum. We've never been as a family before (since usually it's Kim going with other stay-at-home mommies) so it was a special treat. Below Sebastien is excited to go!
Below Dan and Sebastien in the "Construction Zone."

It's hard to tell whether Dan or Sebastien is having more fun.

Around the House

Here are some pics from last week.
Below: One night last week we noticed a flock of turkeys really high up in our pine trees. It was very strange so I thought I'd take a picture.
Baby George O'Brien turned one last weekend and this picture of Dan, Sebastien and Nathan in the pool was taken at his birthday party.
Below: our little girl playing with "power tools"
Below: We're not really potty training yet but sometimes he goes for fun on the potty. He was doing way more reading than pooing this time.
Below: Genevieve proves that it IS possible to fall asleep while holding your foot.

Bye Bye Beach

Our two week long beach excursion has come to an end...how sad. We had a great time though and it was awesome to watch how much Sebastien loved his time there. Here are some parting pictures....

Below: Kim just HAD to get a family picture in front of Nubble Light House.
It didn't turn out too bad:
And since we spent most of our time on the front porch of the cottage, a family picture there seemed fitting as well.
Now it's time to get back home, back to work, and try to enjoy the next two weeks before Kim and the kids head to South Bend at the end of August.

More Beach Pictures

Here are some more pictures from the beach!

Below: Genevieve sitting in Sebastien's chair. I guess I should have brought hers too but I didn't think she'd need it until next year!
Below: Since there's only a shower in the cottage and Sebastien is deathly afraid of it, he gets his baths like this...
Below: Down time in the cottage means eating fruit snacks while watching cartoons.
Below: Genevieve checking the baby afghan that her Grandma Masse just made her.

Weekend in Colorado

Dan and I took a break from vacation in Maine (that sounds pretty funny) to fly to Colorado last weekend for Sam Crimmin's wedding. Sam is Kim's friend from high school who now lives in Greeley, CO. The wedding, however, was in Golden, near Denver. Conveniently Dan's old college roomate, Jesse, and his wife Erin and their baby, Jonathon, live near there too. We stayed with them and were able to fit in some Colorado-ish things like hiking even though we were only there for about 32 hours.
Below: Here we are hiking in Golden.

Below: Sam and Bob Pearson's first dance at the wedding.
Below: It was so good to see Sam. I hadn't seen her in a while...before the kiddos came along to be exact.
Below: Dan & Kim at the wedding. A quick trip away from the kids was SOOOOO nice.
It was sad to leave such a nice time, but hard to be too sad when you're only going back to the beach for another vacation week!
