Photos of the Baby's Room!

We finally finished the baby girl's room this past weekend. Yeah! Now I feel like it's ok if the baby decides not to wait for her due date. So here is the progression of the room in pictures. We chose to convert Dan's office into the baby's room since Dan no longer works from home and Kim's office is also the guest bedroom.

Below: wallpaper is off!
Below: After doing some intense sanding, mudding, and priming, Dan paints the room pink. Below: Kim's finished "Sleeping Beauty" paintings

We also had the carpet pulled up and wood floor underneath redone.

We are looking forward to meeting our baby girl!

Warming Up & Counting Down

As the weather warms up, the real countdown to baby girl begins. This weekend we had plenty of sun and highs in the mid 50s. I'm hoping we've seen the last of the snow. These pictures are from Sunday afternoon. Dan worked out in the yard picking up all the branches that fell in the windstorm (there were sooo many). Sebastien helped for a little while then wandered around the yard with mommy. Here are some pictures of Sebastien in the backyard. You can see the tarp on the neighbor's roof here where the tree feel though last weekend.
Sebastien liked looking at the pond. (Check out that full mouth of teeth too!)

Playing on his new swing.
Here I am, ready to go at 38 weeks. There's a little under 2 weeks to go until the due date. So far there have been no indications that the little girl will be coming any sooner, and that's ok because it gives us more time to get stuff ready. Her room is almost done. It just needs the final touches. Pictures of it to come soon.

Windstorm and Children's Museum

There was a really bad windstorm Thursday night. 260,000 homes, including ours, lost power. As of today, Sunday, we still don't have power so we've been staying with the Masse's in Dracut. Below is a picture of a tree that fell into our neighbor's house. It's very scary since the tree could have easily fallen the other way into our house, and this picture was taken from the baby girl's bedroom window.

Saturday morning, Nicki, Luke & Landon O'Donnell and Becca went with us to the Children's Museum in Boston. Sebastien and Luke loved it. It's a great place! They had a Curious George exhibit too. Here is a picture from that:

Sebastien liked crawling in tunnels.

Littlle Boy Antics

February is almost over (where did it go?!) and Sebastien has been creative in finding ways to keep himself busy indoors. He's always been a big fan of playing with shoes (since before he could walk) but now he's taken it to the next level by walking around in everyone else's shoes, as seen here.
He has also mastered getting up on the furniture. Unfortunately he hasn't mastered not falling off of it. Below is him in "his" green chair. He piles books on it then climbs up to read them. It's pretty cute.
Here he is reading one of his "Bob the Builder" books.
Why buy toys when there are plenty of hats, gloves, and scarves to play with?!
Relaxing with daddy in the morning.
Sebastien got his second haircut last weekend. He did a good job letting the lady cut his hair. Below is a picture of him totally satiated after funneling his milk. (He drinks the whole cup in under 2 minutes.) He is a milk-aholic, complete with a milk gut.

In other news, Mommy and baby sister continue to do fine. Kim is 37 weeks, and considered full term as of Friday 2/26. Woo-hoo!

VIDEO: Gimpses into the day in the life of a 17 month old

It's been a while since I posted any videos to the blog. I finally busted out the video camera this past week, which was the first time since Christmas (a long time for me.) There are four separate clips in the video. The first clip is Sebastien eating dinner using a fork (Ooh, how exciting!) The second is Sebastien sitting in his toy car while I grill him with questions. The third is Sebastien playing with Bob the Builder books. The fourth is Dan & Sebastien yelling into the empty baby girl's room to hear their echo. Enjoy! (Oh, on a baby#2 note: all is well with mommy & baby girl. We are almost 35 weeks now!)

It's now February!

I haven't posted much to the blog lately. We've been busy, but not too much exciting to report. Sebastien was sick on & off again for a few weeks and it was finally determined to be another ear infection. He is healthy again though but mom & dad have been running a gauntlet of his shared viruses. For the moment, we are all healthy. Fingers crossed. We also started working on the baby girl's room. Wallpaper has been stripped. Walls have been mudded and sanded. Ceiling was repainted. Walls are primed and painted pink. The next step is figuring out what to do with the existing carpet. As soon as the room comes together, I'll post some before and after pictures. It's hard to below there's only about a month and a half before the little princess arrives! We're starting to get very excited!
Below: Sebastien is excitedly running to the bathroom to take his bath.

Below: happy face! (I love this picture).
